Glenn Beck’s offensive and often homophobic comments have become an expected part of his radio program.
On Monday, his rants turned towards Hillary Clinton. Beck and his co-hosts dedicated an entire segment to attacking politicians who, in a sharp change of opinion, now claim they support gay marriage after expressing public opposition to the very same topic only a couple years ago.
The conservative radio show hosts argued that if the issue really is “the civil rights issue of our day,” politicians should have been willing to stand up for the principle even before it became a popular opinion with potential to grow their support base.
Beck went on to name Clinton as one of these politicians.
“I’m telling you,” Beck said, “Hillary Clinton will be having sex with a woman on the White House desk if it becomes popular.”
Beck has acknowledged his role in tearing the country apart with his dirty, incisive comments.
In an interview with Megyn Kelly, he admitted that he has “made an awful lot of mistakes, and I wish I could go back and be more uniting in my language.”
“I think I played a role, unfortunately, in helping tear the country apart and it’s not who we are,” Beck continued.
The radio show host said that he didn’t realize how “fragile” people were.
“I thought we were kind of more in it together and now I look back and realize, if we could’ve talked about the uniting principles instead of just the problems, I think I would look back more fondly,” Beck added.
