Video: Rick Santorum Wants to Profile Muslims

| by Michael Allen

During Tuesday night’s Republican foreign policy debate, CNN’s Wolf Blitzer asked former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum if he would support ethnic and religious profiling (video below).

"Just to be precise, is it ethnic profiling, religious profiling, who would be profiled?” Blitzer asked.

“The folks that are most likely to be committing these crimes,” Santorum replied. “Obviously Muslims would be someone you’d look at, absolutely.”

“That’s digging our hole for ourselves,” Rep. Ron Paul disagreed. “What if they look like (Oklahoma City bomber) Timothy McVeigh?”

“It it OK for Muslim Americans to get more intensive pat downs or security when they go through airports than for Christian Americans or Jewish Americans?” Blitzer asked Herman Cain.

“No, Blitz. That’s oversimplifying it,” Cain replied. “I’m sorry, Blitz. I meant Wolf."
