After proving time and time again that he cannot handle himself against his fellow GOP presidential candidates, Rick Perry is looking for a new debate partner and for some reason he has picked Nancy Pelosi.
In a letter obtained by The Hill, Perry challenged the House Minority Leader to a debate, writing:
"I think it would be a tremendous service to the American public to see a public airing of those differences. Let the people decide.
"Should you choose not to respond or engage in such a healthy discussion, I will take it to mean you will continue your obstructionist ways in the face of much needed Washington reform."
Perry suggested next Monday because he will be in Washington. If not, he requested they meet in Iowa over the next month.
The New York Daily News reports Pelosi took to Twitter to respond, taking the opportunity to make fun of Perry's infamous inability at his latest disastrous debate to remember the third federal agency he would shutter:
"Re: Gov. Perry — Monday I'll be in Portland. Later visiting labs in CA. That's 2. I can't remember the 3rd thing."
