Galfond, who runs poker training site Bluefirepoker.com, had won over $700k in the last five days but lost $294,303 in 926 hands last night.
Harrington25, which is Jared Bleznick’s account, ransacked Galfond for $230k in a series of $500/$1,000 Cap PLO heads-up matches.
From there Galfond tried to change his fortunes against Gus Hansen in another heads-up $500/$1,000 Cap PLO session but it was the Great Dane who walked away with a $36,000 victory.
Galfond hasn’t had the best start to 2011 and now finds himself approximately $520,000 in the hole.
On the other hand Bleznick was the night’s biggest winner taking down $248k in just over two hours. Bleznick has been very active in the high stakes games this year and is now up over $700k on his Full Tilt account.
Fellow high stakes pro Andreas “skjervoy” Torbergsen was also a big winner taking $199k in the $100/$200 PLO games on PokerStars.
Perhaps the biggest surprise of the night was Daniel “Kid Poker” Negreanu raking in $46k on PokerStars.
Not known for his skill at online poker, Negreanu has been developing his online chops over the last few years and it seems to be working.
The biggest loser of the night was easily Galfond but Omiphalotus (-$203k) and tuff_shark (-$75) were both in the red on PokerStars.
Dan “jungleman12” Cates had a particularly bad night losing $51k on his Full Tilt account and $50k on his PokerStars account.
Finally Ilari “Ziigmund” Sahamies, who has been very quiet in 2011, lost $44k on Full Tilt.
