West Point Employee Estelle Casimir Could Face Military Prison Time For Stealing Meatballs

| by

Estelle Casimir, a 56-year-old employee at West Point, has been charged with stealing a bag of frozen meatballs from mess hall just hours before they were supposed to be served.

The federal complaint states that she was caught with the meatballs on Jan. 30 and that Casimi tried to hide them when a supervisor found her with them. She claimed the bag was garbage and she was throwing it away.

The official charges against Casimir are larceny and possession of stolen property. She pleaded not guilty at an arraignment hearing last week.

If convicted, she could face time in military prison. Her lawyer, Michael Ferraro, would not comment on the case.
