Proposals at sporting events are usually welcomed by the crowd, but not everyone was impressed when Kenny Lovelace recently proposed to Molly Ryan at Coors Field in Denver, Colorado.
Lovelace planned to propose to Ryan during a baseball game between the Colorado Rockies and the Arizona Diamondbacks last week.
He hired wedding photographer Kerinsa Mullins to capture the magic moment, reports WTOP.
Mullins was standing a few rows away, ready to take a picture of Lovelace and Ryan.
When the stadium jumbotron flashed, "Will you marry me, Molly?" Mullins stood up to take a photo of the proposal and an older couple yelled at her to sit down.
"They kept yelling at me and I just ignored them because I was there to do a job and I did not want to miss something that would be so brief and so important," recalled Mullins.
Lovelace dropped to his knee, Ryan said, "Yes!" the crowd cheered and Mullins took the picture.
The next day, Mullins discovered the old lady had ruined the picture by giving the finger.
However, Ryan thought it was hilarious.
"I couldn't stop laughing. I said it was the greatest photo I've ever seen. There is a girl sitting behind us that is so excited for us. My mom is crying, I'm crying, and Ken's nervous and then there's this lady flipping us off," said Ryan.
Ryan has offered to invite the old lady to the wedding: "I would love for her to appear in one of my pictures at the wedding. That would be terrific."
