Hey NYC Yogis! Join Jill Miller this Tuesday, March 8th at OmFactory for 2 fantastic workshops!
All the details below from the studio website:
Shoulders, Hips, and Heels | 2pm – 5pm
If Downward Dog, Warrior 2 or Twisted Triangle have ever felt disjointed in your body, you are not alone. Joint biomechanics are some of the most complex anatomical riddles for a body to fully comprehend. Yoga Tune Up® incorporates exercises from fitness therapeutics to help yogis at every level of practice to transform these often vague inner mechanics. In this workshop, learn the specific actions of the shoulder, hips & heels and find your true end range-of–motion in safe, playful and surprising ways. Learn to “retrofit” your body joint-by-joint and customize poses to fit your own architecture. The practice awakens new kinetic chains and helps you master an internal portrait of your body. Students of any level are welcome.
Breathe In, Bliss Out | 8pm – 10pm
Join Jill in learning the age defying secrets of Yoga Nidra, or yogic sleep, and master the art of Blissing Out. Loaded with adrenalin and stress, most of us can easily accelerate from 0-60 in a heartbeat. But do you know how to decelerate effectively without crashing? This workshop breaks down the mechanics of “down-regulation” before your body has a breakdown. Learn how to breathe correctly with sedating exercises from yoga, body therapy, meditation, and self-massage. You will un-bind muscular tension, relieve anxiety and enter into a profound state of sleep. No Yoga experience necessary. Students of any level are welcome.
