A New Hampshire Democrat is coming under fire for reportedly posting his wish for Sarah Palin's death on Facebook.
Keith Halloran is a Democratic candidate for state representative in New Hampshire. Responding to a post by a Republican state representative about the plane crash that killed former Alaska Sen. Ted Stevens, Halloran reportedly wrote:
"Just wish Sarah and Levy were on board."
That was an apparent swipe at Palin and her daughter's ex-fiancée, Levi Johnston, who spells his name with an "i," not a "y."
Halloran didn't confirm he wrote the post, but didn't deny it either. In a comment sent to the Associated Press through Facebook he said:
"It's just a tempest in their Tea Pot."
The New Hampshire Republican Party denounced the posting, saying in a statement:
"Mr. Halloran's outrageous comments are a new low, even by the standards of the New Hampshire Democrat Party. His publicly stated death wish for Governor Palin and her family is abhorrent, and has no place in our public discourse."
The Party has called on Halloran to apologize to the Palin family.
