Landlord Charging Apartment Residents to Use Elevator

| by Michael Allen

A user on the social media site Reddit.com recently claimed that his landlord is going to charge everyone in the building, who wants to use the elevator, $35 a week.

The user, who goes by the handle of "davemel37," posted a link from Reddit.com to a picture of the alleged note on Imgur.com.

The note reads: "Dear residents, Effective Oct 1, 2013 you will need to use your scan card to use the elevator. The first 60 uses are free and thereafter $35 a month. If you elect NOT to use this service, the stairs are still free."

The landlord and the apartment building were not identified, and this story is unconfirmed.
