NFL News: Louis Murphy Arrested for Viagra Possession

| by Off The Record

We hear quite often about NFL players and other athletes getting arrested for a variety of offenses, but this is pretty rare. Oakland Raiders WR Louis Murphy was reportedly arrested in Florida on charges of possessing Viagra without a prescription.

The fact that he even got caught is his own damn fault. Gainesville Police first told the former Florida Gator to pull over because he was blasting his car stereo too loudly. Instead of pulling over, Murphy drove to a nearby city parking lot. He and his friends then got out and walked away.

What degree of stupid do you really have to be to act like this? Whether the cops are ever right or wrong, it’s always in your best interests to play nice while in their presence.

So the cop asked him to present ID. Murphy refused, demanding to know why he was being pulled over. Brilliant move! Cops love when kids cop an attitude with them.

Since he wouldn’t present ID, the cop tried handcuffing him. Murphy, of course, refused. So, it took three officers to get him cuffed, which must have made them thrilled and dying to do whatever they could to get Murphy on his way without an repercussions.

Murphy then consented to a search of his vehicle, where officers found “non-labeled prescription bottle containing 11 individual pills later identified as Viagra.” Murphy said he took the label off of them so his girlfriend wouldn’t know.

The genius has been charged with possession of Viagra without a valid prescription, failure to obey an officer, and non-violent resisting arrest…..all because he had to draw attention to himself by playing his music too loud.
