Fans of "Lost" might be wondering how the show will have time to wrap up all of the story lines before the show ends forever on May 23. Well, producers apparently thought the same thing, because they asked for an extra half hour for the finale.
The finale was already two hours long -- twice as long as the usual episode. You'd figure that would be long enough. But the producers said they had so much material, they asked ABC for the extra time. The network agreed.
But local stations may not be happy with the decision. Those 30 minutes will pre-empt the local news, which is very lucrative for the stations. A special ": Aloha to Lost" will air right after the finale at 11:30 p.m. (10:30 Central/Mountain time).
While producers promise they will resolve most of the mysteries surrounding the show, fans could still be left frustrated. Co-Executive Producer Damon Lindelof told The Hollywood Reporter that the ending would prompt even more questions -- questions that apparently will never be answered.
