Bet on it: Julian Assange TIME’s Person of The Year

| by SportsbookGurus

Every year, TIME magazines dedicates one issue to who they name the person of the year, and the time for the voting has come. This annual issue was first started back in 1927, and has since grown to be one of the most anticipated magazine issues of the year.

The winner does not necessarily have to be a person, the issue features and profiles a person, couple, group, idea, place, or machine that has in some way, shape, or form influenced events in 2010.

One of the leading candidates according to the polls, as well entertainment betting odds found at online sportsbooks, is none other than the much talked about Julian Assange, who has stirred up quite a bit of drama with the Wikileaks saga. Julian Assange is an Australian journalist, publisher, and Internet activist who is spokesperson and editor-in-chief for WikiLeaks. Wikileaks is what some would call a whistle blower website that has recently released hundreds of thousands of official government documents, effectively stirring up quite a mess within the International community.

Julian Assange is one of the many people who will be remembered for events that took place in 2010. While not all the candidates likely to be named TIME magazine’s Person of The Year caused such a memorable event, many of them have had an effect on the world, if even a small one.
