Show’s over, folks. John Mayer has said bye bye to Twitter.
The singer, who had attracted an eye-popping 3.7 million followers, said that the microblogging site was “over” earlier this year, and that its usefulness was “pretty much done”.
Mayer shut his account yesterday, tweeting: “What does this button do?”
Mayer’s spokesman confirmed the deletion to E! News: “With the Battle Studies tour now at a close and a return to the studio planned, John has discontinued his Twitter account. However, he continues to communicate with his fans via his blog as he always has.”
