An unidentified French nurse recently ran an ad to rent out her breasts for gay parents who cannot breastfeed their children.
She is charging about $150 a day in Paris, France and surrounding areas.
According to the International Business Times, the ad was posted on E-Loue.com and entitled: "Breast rental - breast-feeding - Boulogne."
The text of the ad reads: "I am a young mother in full health, a trained nurse, 29 years old, and I'm renting out my breasts to feed young babies. In one day I can offer you up to a dozen feeds for your baby."
"Gay men in couples are not able to breastfeed their babies.... Breastfeeding allows babies to be in good health. Basically, breast milk gives them complete nutrition. Contact me through the site. Don't bother if you're not serious."
E-Loue.com contacted the woman to confirm if the ad was real.
It is not clear if renting out breast milk (and breasts) is legal in France. The main concern would be if the woman placing the ad has an infectious disease, which could be passed down to the infant via breastfeeding.
