Kayne West's release from the hospital has been pushed back by doctors after he reportedly revealed he was suffering from extreme paranoia and depression.
West, 39, was scheduled to be released from the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center Nov. 28, one week after being admitted for what was initially thought to be dehydration and sleep deprivation.
But things appear to be more serious than that. Upon arriving at the hospital, West was overcome by paranoia, according to TMZ. Sources told the gossip website that the rapper wouldn't even let his doctors touch him.
"The doctors said he's in no shape to leave yet," a source told Us Weekly. "Kim [Kardashian] argued he could recover at home, but the doctors just don't think he is ready. He still needs more time."
Kim Kardashian has reportedly not left her husband's side since he was brought to the hospital.
"Kim has been amazing," another source told Us Weekly. "She knew he couldn't keep going the way he was. She has been by his side through all of this, helping to feed him and lying by his side."
There has been much speculation about the reasons behind West's alleged breakdown, and many wonder whether he actually had one at all. One person with inside knowledge told Us Weekly that West was unable to cope after his wife was robbed at gunpoint in Paris in October.
"It did a number on him as much as Kim," the source said. "The mere thought that anything could happen to her sent him in a tailspin. He wasn't sleeping and he was having nightmares about it."
There is no word as to when West might be released.
