Malachi Love-Robinson brings playing doctor to a new level.
The 18-year-old was caught for a second time in 13 months posing as a doctor in Florida (video below). In January 2015, Love-Robinson was caught posing as an OB/GYN at a hospital in West Palm Beach, Florida, CBS News reported.
Although it was determined he hadn’t committed any crimes and didn’t have any contact with patients, he was arrested on Feb. 16, 2016, after allegedly posing as a doctor and performing a physical exam on an undercover agent at a practice he opened up in West Palm Beach, Florida, according to a Facebook post from the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office.
Love-Robinson was cited by the Department of Health for illegally practicing medicine in October 2015, although it’s unclear if he was accused of doing so while running the New Birth New Life Medical Center and Urgent Care, LLC. According to a Facebook event, Love-Robinson opened the practice on Jan. 16, 2016.
On HealthGrades, a consumer health site which listed his age as 25, Robinson-Love claimed he focused on holistic and natural medicine.
“I utilize physiological, psychological, and mechanical methods, such as air, water, light, heat, earth, phototherapy, food and herb therapy, psychotherapy, electrotherapy, physiotherapy, minor and orificial surgery, mechanotherapy, naturopathic corrections and manipulation, and natural methods or modalities, together with natural medicines, natural processed foods, and herbs and nature's remedies.”
However, Malachi-Robinson added that he wouldn’t use prescription drugs and didn’t practice major surgery.
William Robinson, Love-Robinson’s grandfather, told the Sun-Sentinel that his grandson is certified to practice holistic medicine and that he never claimed to be a medical doctor. "He was pursuing things, but I don't really know what it came to," Robinson said. "He was pursuing the field that he wanted to get into."
Love-Robinson has been arrested on charges of practicing medicine without a license.
