Gwyneth Paltrow is giving fans the chance to get into Iron Man shape by sharing the diet she followed to shed her "extra winter weight" in her online newsletter.
The actress turned to business partner and trainer Tracy Anderson to help her get slim and trim for her role as Pepper Potts in the Iron Man sequel - and admits the strict diet the health and fitness guru put her on was life-changing. In a post on her GOOP.com website, Paltrow writes,
I have just traversed the globe doing promotion for Ironman 2 (sic), getting asked the same question repeatedly: how did I get in shape for the movie? Well, I am not going to lie, the process was an arduous one.
To really get in line, I followed her (Anderson) strict diet for 5 day s to lose my extra winter weight. Now, I am not a good dieter and I canno t ever do it for long, only when there is a goal in sight, which there was in this case. "This regime got me into the shape of my life and I continue to return to it when I have a specific event so that I can do ridiculous things lik e be a 37 year old mother of two and wear shorts!
The diet includes a green tea and 'clean shake', made up of almonds, blueberries and Dr. Alejandro Junger's Move and Nourish powders for breakfast, kale juice, low carbohydrate and low calorie tortilla wraps and dates for lunch, grilled chicken, soups and salads and plenty more almonds as snacks throughout the day.
