Gary Busey, the American actor and star of ‘Lethal Weapon’ has spoken of his concern for ‘Two and a Half Men’ star Charlie Sheen, whose recent antics have been the subject of a media frenzy, reports People Magazine.
Speaking at the Las Vegas launch party of ‘Celebrity Apprentice’ on Saturday, Busey said he’s known Sheen for over 30 years, adding, “Charlie is in a tailspin. Charlie’s got to understand what the truth is. The beautiful thing about the truth is that it requires no questions.” The 66-year-old actor has reportedly battled with drug problems throughout his career, but has been sober for 13 years. When asked what advice he would offer to Sheen, Busey said, “I want Charlie to get up out of the mud and reclaim his life, and I’m praying for him. The advice I have for him is to look at himself and the truth in his heart, because what he’s doing is not true to his heart.”
Gary Busey, who received an Oscar nomination in 1978 for his role in ‘The Buddy Holly Story’ says he is no longer the man he admittedly once was, noting, “Most people do think I’m difficult. That was 20 years ago. I’m giving with love. I’m really alive with love.”
