There is international uproar over a Russian news anchor who appeared to give President Obama the finger live on the air.
The newscast aired earlier this month on REN-TV. Yahoo! News reports that anchor Tatyana Limanova was reading a story about Russian President Dmitry Medvedev being named chairman of the Asia Pacific Cooperation, when she said it was a position that "has (previously) been held by Barack Obama." When she said that, she raised her middle finger.
The station is not commenting, but a report in the Telegraph has a logical explanation -- Limanova thought she was off-camera and was giving the finger to "studio technicians who had been trying to put her off her stride."
