Video: Miss China, Yu Wenxia, Wins Miss World Beauty Pageant

At the Miss World pageant, this weekend, Miss China, Yu Wenxia was crowned this year's winner, reports the Daily Mail.

Miss United States, Claudine Book, did not place in the beauty contest. Book was not a finalist in the swimsuit competition or the talent competition.

Wenxia, 23, wants to become a music teacher and is currently a music student. She won Miss China in Ordos, China, reports the Washington Post.

According to the Miss World website, Wenxia likes to go hiking, enjoys traveling and plays the piano. Her favorite food is dumplings.

Miss World, not be mistaken for Donald Trump's Miss Universe, requires that the women compete in swinwear, evening wear, talent, fitness, and charitable acts.

Former Miss World winners from the U.S. include Halle Berry and Lynda Carter.

Miss United States is chosen by a modeling agency, not by a contest.
