Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Inductees Include Donna Summer, Public Enemy

| by Michael Allen

Donna Summer, who died of lung cancer in May, will join the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame along with Canadian rockers Rush and rap pioneers Public Enemy, female rockers Heart, blues legend Albert King and singer-songwriter Randy Newman.

Producers Lou Adler and Quincy Jones will receive the Ahmet Ertegun Award, given to non-performers.

Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Foundation head Joel Peresman said in a statement: “This year’s class of inductees … again represents the broad, compelling and significant definition of rock and roll."

The stars will be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Los Angeles on April 18, 2013.
