Photos: Makeup Artist Posts Shocking Shots of Porn Stars With and Without Makeup

| by

Melissa “Makeup” Murphy, an award-winning makeup artist, recently unveiled a series of photographs featuring porn stars with and without makeup.

She shot 93 porn stars before she applied makeup and after, demonstrating a drastic transformation from normal-looking women to sex vixens.

The before shots show the porn stars with blotchy, uneven skin, oily foreheads and pale complexions. Their hair is also undone.

Many men complained about the shots, saying the women were hideous without makeup.

One male said, “Outside of a couple exceptions these girls are all beasts without the makeup.”

But women see the images entirely differently, and are praising the porn stars for braving a makeup-less face.

“I love these,” one woman commented. “I’m not sure about the guys who think porn stars just magically appear from sea foam inside a clam shell (looking sexy), but for what it’s worth, this kind of rocks.”

Most of the porn stars posted the “after” images on their social media accounts, attempting to draw attention to the makeup artist’s skill instead of their bare faces.

Cassandra Nix tweeted an after image, saying, “Thanks for making me all pretty,” while Dani Daniels said, “@melissamakeupX you made me puuuurdy! :) thank you!”

Some people were more thoughtful with their comments, as they suggested the natural look of porn stars was an effective way to humanize them, as they are often dehumanized and objectified.

“A lot of people look at porn stars and assume they are in a constant state of eyeliner and push-up bra, that they were born that way as the ‘lucky women’ and that they couldn’t possibly look like - or be - someone’s sister or mom,” one woman said on a blog. “Also, a lot of guys seem to go around thinking there’s this big difference between ‘average’ women and the Super Hot, which in a lot of cases is more about dedication than genes (makeup, clothing, breast enhancements).”

“I think it’s always better when we realize that Hot People are actually dimensional people with identities and relationships, which to me is the difference between finding someone attractive/sexy and truly objectifying them.”
