Justin Bieber’s luck doesn’t seem to be getting any better. While the teen pop sensation is recovering in the hospital after passing out backstage at a concert in London, TMZ is reporting that his friend, Lil Twist, crashed his car and left the scene of the accident.
Lil Twist was reportedly driving Bieber’s $100,000 chrome Fisker Karma in San Fernando Valley when he crashed into cement poles protecting a wall at a liquor store, damaging the poles and the front-end of the car.
According to an eyewitness either Lil Twist or one of the passengers in the car said, “Do you know whose car this is? It's Justin Bieber's car."
A few minutes later a BMW arrived and the driver told Lil Twist and the passengers to “get all the pieces from the car and put it in the car [the BMW]." Lil Twist and his passengers then took off in BMW and left Bieber’s car.
It was first reported that Chris Brown was a passenger in the car, but his reps denied the reports.
This isn’t the first incident for Lil Twist involving one of Bieber’s cars. On Bieber’s 19th birthday, Lil Twist was pulled over by police while driving the Fisker Karma for making an unsafe lane change. The police let the unsafe lane change go and gave him a ticket for having tinted windows.
Back on New Year's Day, Lil Twist was stopped by cops while driving Justin's white Ferrari 458 Italia, and a photographer named Chris Guerra subsequently died attempting to photograph the car. Bieber was not in the car at the time and Lil Twist also managed to scrape the undercarriage of the car.
Some in Bieber’s inner circle worry about the bad influence that Lil Twist has been for him. Sources claim that it was the rapper who supplied him with marijuana in January when pictures leaked to the media and the two celebrated New Year's Eve together with champagne in Mexico.
Bieber received the car from Ellen DeGeneres for his 18th birthday.
