Kristen Wiig May Not Join "Bridesmaids" Sequel

| by Michael Allen

Actor Jon Hamm was recently asked by E! Online whether Kristen Wiig will return for a sequel to the hit film  "Bridesmaids." His answer didn't sound good for fans of the flick: "I don't think Kristen is going to do it."

Hamm, who had a small part in the summer hit, said he hadn't decided if he'd be in a sequel: "They need to lock (Wiig) up before me."

"Bridesmaids" was made for $32 million and has grossed nearly $285 million worldwide, but Universal hasn't yet announced a sequel. Director Paul Feig, however, has said that a follow-up to the fillm has been discussed.

Participation from "Saturday Night Live" star Wiig would seem to be vital for any sequel to go forward as she played the lead and co-wrote the film with Annie Mumolo.
