Katie Holmes will be making New York City her home.
The 33-year-old actress is set make her return to Broadway in the family comedy “Dead Accounts” by “Smash” creator Theresa Rebeck.
Holmes will star as Lorna, who lives with her elderly parents as she tries to get her life together.
The Tony Award winner Jack O’Brien (“The Coast of Utopia,” “Hairspray”) is directing the five-character play, which will run at the Music Box Theater, starting this fall. Performance dates and casting for the four other roles will be announced shortly.
Tom Cruise’s soon-to-be ex-wife previously appeared in the 2008 Broadway production of “All My Sons.”
