Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting Should Not Have Apologized To Feminists For Making Her Own Choice

Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting, the star of the immensely popular TV show, “The Big Bang Theory,” was forced to apologize for comments she made in a newly published interview in Redbook magazine.

In the interview Cuoco-Sweeting dared to offer her own opinion regarding the fact that she does not consider herself a feminist and admitted she likes “serving her man” dinner.

Oh the horror!

Of course I am kidding. The very fact that feminists jumped all over the woman via the Internet, today’s method of bullying people into submission, is absolutely ridiculous. I thought the whole point of the progressive movement and liberalism was so that we had choices. The idea that we, and she, only have choices, if those choices are acceptable to the Left or to feminists is crazy and counter to what liberalism should be about.

You would swear the woman said something negative about feminism or babies or something. Here is what she said in the interview to the question of whether she considered herself a feminist:

“Is it bad if I say no? It's not really something I think about...Things are different now, and I know a lot of the work that paved the way for women happened before I was around. I was never that feminist girl demanding equality, but maybe that's because I've never really faced inequality.”

And then there was this that I think was the most appalling to feminists:

She said  she likes to take care of her husband, Ryan Sweeting, because "it makes me feel like a housewife...I cook for Ryan five nights a week. I know it sounds old-fashioned, but I like the idea of women taking care of their men. I'm so in control of my work that I like coming home and serving him.”

Now whether someone else likes that or not, shouldn’t it be her choice to be that woman? I really don’t get feminists on this one. We are for choice on some things, like abortion and birth control but not on others, like whether to serve your spouse?

Ridiculous and hypocritical.

Unfortunately Cuoco-Sweeting, and it just occurred to me that some feminists probably hate she added her husband’s last name to her’s as well, apologized via Instagram.

“I apologize if anyone was offended. Anyone that truly knows me, knows my heart and knows what I meant,” she wrote.

It is indeed a moment like this that makes it very very clear that the Left can sometimes be as closed minded as the Right when it comes to how people choose to live their lives. For the Left it seems choices are good, but only approved ones.
