CNN Challenges Rick Santorum on Fuzzy Jobs Math

GOP presidential candidate Rick Santorum appeared on CNN's "American Morning" on Tuesday as part of his push to get people to know that he is indeed a presidential candidate.

While talking about jobs, he said President Obama's stimulus package actually cost the nation jobs. He explained that Obama said the plan would create "280 million jobs" when in fact it only created "240 million." Santorum meant to say 2.8 million and 2.4 million.

Regardless of his misspeaking, Santorum said that means the nation lost jobs. Santorum overlooked the fact that 2.4 jobs were indeed created, instead fixating on the original unmet goal of 2.8 million. The CNN hosts took Santorum to task on his mathematical skills:
