Sean Lowe officially traded red roses for dancing shoes on Monday’s “Dancing with the Stars” premiere.
The newly-engaged “Bachelor” star hit the dance floor with Peta Murgatroyd, performing a fox trot as fiancée Catherine Giuidice watched from the audience.
Lowe got an enthusiastic response from Bruno Tonioli, who said the routine “was like a Chippendales version of a ballroom dance!”
“For a dance virgin,” quipped the judge, “you have a very good pelvic thrust!”
Carrie Ann Inaba, who joked that she likes it “rough,” commended Lowe for his “fearless exuberance.”
“That is going to take you so far in this competition,” she told him.
And while Len Goodman was more critical than his fellow judges, he admitted, “I liked it.”
Together, the judges gave Lowe a 19 for his first time out, placing him in the middle of the pack.
