Paul Anka was out to dinner last night in L.A. at Madeo, when TMZ caught up with the legendary singer to ask him about his duets album.
As Anka talked about all his collobarations on the album including Michael Jackson, Dolly Parton and Gloria Estefan, he was also asked if he did any work with a rapper. Anka than explained that he wanted to work with Jay-Z, but that he never returned his phone calls.
Anka went on to say that he thought that Jay-Z would want to work with him because he sampled My Way from Anka, but that "he acted inapproriately towards him" by not answering the phone.
"I called up Jay-Z because he did a track of My Way where I loaned him the track," Anka said. "I wanted to put him in on a rap with Michael Jackson in the middle. I called him up, but Jay-Z has totally blown me off. He won't answer my calls, he's inappropriate in his behavior. I love his wife, I think she's great, but Jay-Z wouldn't return the call."
