The Blues Brothers once joked that they were on a "mission from God," but Kanye West is apparently serious.
During an interview today with Los Angeles radio station Power106 FM, West took some shots at President Obama while praising his own "extreme genius," reports the Daily Mail.
"You can’t effect change from inside the White House like that,'" claimed West. "You gotta have the money... Good ideas usually aren’t connected to money as much... Creativity and extreme genius are extremely cheap."
West also sent a warning out to those who dared to criticize his wise words or himself.
"Don’t worry about how I’m saying what I’m saying," West lectured. "Look at what I’m saying and how I feel and how my intent is. You do not want to go against the power. I’m working on one mission, and that’s a mission from God."
Earlier this week, the one who is on "a mission from God" reportedly claimed that celebrity photographer Annie Leibovitz was "afraid of celebrity" and that's why she did not shoot his wedding to former sex-tape star Kim Kardashian in Florence, Italy.
In reality, representatives for West and Leibovitz were not able to reach an agreement before the wedding.
A rep for Leibovitz told TMZ, "Unbeknownst to Kanye, she was never confirmed. She would have loved to have taken their wedding portrait and was disappointed it didn't happen."
The rep added that Leibovitz is "not known to shoot weddings."
