Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar are already parents to 19 children, but that doesn't mean they don'thave room in their heart for more. After suffering a tragic miscarriage, the Duggars are considering adoption.
"We are open to the idea of adoption," Michelle told People magazine. "We are praying about it, and we will see what God has in store. Love for children has been placed on our hearts."
The Duggars told the magazine that they were moved to adopt after visiting a Chinese orphanage for their TV special 19 Kids & Counting: Duggars Do Asia.
"The kids are definitely pushing towards wanting us to open our home up to another child or more," Michelle continued. "They see how much we have been blessed with and how little so many children have and they want to share. We tell our children that would have to be something that is God's will for our family, and we will see if it is. Our children love children, and we all do."
The parents of 19 explain that they haven't made a decision yet, but that they are approaching it with an open mind.
"We are open to whatever is in store," she added. "It doesn't really matter whether I would have another child or we would adopt, but we want to approach it with an open heart."
