At Grand Valley State University in Allendale, Michigan, graduating student Kelsie Elise Frick recently tricked a college announcer to pronounce her name "Kelsie Elise Frick-en-awesome" during graduation (video below).
The 23-year-old Frick made changes to her phonetically-spelled name card because she wanted to go out with a bang, reports the Daily Mail.
The audience laughed and cheered as Frick accepted her degree and raised her fist.
Frick told Mlive.com: "I was going to dance or something, but I didn’t realize how fast they go through all the names out there. It was kind of funny the way [the announcer] said it because he kind of realized it halfway through."
Bob Stoll, Associate Dean for Student Life, said it was one of the most unique stunts that he had seen: "There may have been a girl that did a cartwheel about 20 years ago."
Frick's mother, who was in the audience, sent her daughter a text afterwards that read: "I can't believe you did that."
