Seattle-based rapper Freddy E has died in an apparent suicide, according to the King County Medical Examiner’s office. The 22-year-old artist, whose full name is Frederick Eugene Buhl, posted chilling comments on Twitter before shooting himself Saturday.
"If there's a God then He's calling me back home. This barrel never felt so good next to my dome. It's cold & I'd rather die than live alone," Buhl Tweeted. "It's... all... bad... y'all. *puts finger around trigger*"
Buhl was best known for the YouTube channel he hosted, JERKTV, where he published spoken word and comedy pieces.
Though the reason behind Buhl’s sudden apparent suicide is unknown, reports have speculated Buhl’s ex-girlfriend, a rapper who goes by the name Honey Cocaine, may have caused the heartbreak that led to Buhl’s death.
Cocaine responded to the accusations on Twitter and wrote, “To say I caused what happened is ignorance. You know nothing about our friendship or the story, hate me if you feel... We loved each other.”
In other tweet, Cocaine posted a screen shot of a text message conversation she had with Buhl Saturday evening where Buhl was expressing frustration and explaining no one but her understands what he’s going through. She responded that “anything revolving around money is intertwined with evil” and to “keep your soul pure cuz you can be a victim in a second.”
An autopsy will be performed Monday to confirm the cause of death.
