Admittedly, I've been feeling a little stressed lately. What with learning a new job and all the other bits that come along with transition, I'm amazed I've made it this far! One thing that has totally gotten me through some major rough spots has been connecting with my breath. Even as an experienced yogi and teacher, I still have moments where it's hard sometimes to sit down, take a deep breath, and calm my anxieties.
Thankfully, I've come across this amazing Pranayama app from Saagara. This handy little application is a life saver for all yogis on the go, as well as newbies. Take it on the metro, plane, car, wherever, and be guided through gentle breathing techniques. The application is easy to use and follow. Set your level (beginner, intermediate, and advanced) and pace, practice simple inhalation and exhalation or add kumbacha (breath retention) and your on your way to a stress-free day.
Nowadays, we all seem to be looking for more time to get done what we need to get done. Why not be good to yourself, and take a few extra minutes when you're on the run to stop and breathe.
It's ancient wisdom at your fingertips.
