Poll: 56 Percent Want Pre-Obama Health Care System

According to a new Fox News poll, 56 percent of Americans want to go back to the health care system that existed before Obamacare.

If taken literally, the poll would mean that 56 percent oppose popular features of Obamacare such as: Not allowing insurance companies to discriminate against people for pre-existing conditions, allowing children to remain on their parent's health insurance coverage until age 26 and extending health insurance coverage for 30 million uninsured people, as noted by ThinkProgress.org.

Obamacare is actually bringing down health insurance costs in Oregon with its new health insurance marketplace, reports Oregon Live.

The Fox News poll also found that 26 percent said they will be better off under Obamacare, while 13 percent claimed there would be no difference.

When broken down by political party, 85 percent of Republicans say they will be worse off under Obamacare, but 48 percent of Democrats claim they will be better.

When it comes to the economy, the same poll said that 41 percent believe President Obama has good ideas, while 49 percent say the president's ideas have been bad.

Most of those polled, 61 percent, believe that the sequester, with its across-the-board cuts in all areas of government, has been a bad way to handle the federal budget.

The poll included landline and cell phone interviews with 1,013 people who were chosen at random.
