Zac McDowell, a police officer, saved the life of 18-year-old Ian Waseskuk over the weekend by pulling the unconscious teen from his burning vehicle in Urbandale, Iowa (video below).
Waseskuk crashed his car while attempting to drive donuts (circles) in a snow-covered church parking lot on Sunday, reports the Associated Press.
When Waseskuk's car slid into an air conditioning unit and caught on fire, Officer McDowell reached into the burning vehicle as smoke poured out.
Eventually Officer McDowell pulled Waseskuk out of the car.
Waseskuk sustained minor injuries, but will face a misdemeanor charge of reckless driving upon release from the hospital.
