“Black Swan” actress Natalie Portman has finally named her baby boy.
The Oscar-winning actress and her fiance, choreographer Benjamin Millepied, have named their son Alef, after the first letter in the Hebrew alphabet.
Natalie, who is Jewish, chose the name to honor her religion. Alef means “oneness of God”.
The baby boy’s last name will be Portman-Millepied.
Benjamin and Natalie met on the set of “Black Swan”.
Portman has praised her parents, Avner and Shelley Hershlag, saying she hoped to raise her child the way her parents brought her up.
Natalie said, “If I am a shadow as good a parent, an echo, then I will be the best in the world, so thank you.”
The actress gave birth to her son, Alef, on June 14.
