Kanye West Demands Disabled Fans Stand Up at Concert (Video)

Kanye West reportedly halted his concert at the Qantas Credit Union Arena in Sydney, Australia, last Friday because two fans would not stand up. One of the fans was in a wheelchair, while the other wore a prosthetic limb.

“I decided I can’t do this song, I can’t do the rest of the show until everybody stands up,” West told the audience, noted The Daily Beast (video below). "Unless you got a handicap pass and you get special parking and s---. Lemma see you if you ain’t standing up, believe me, I’m very good at that.”

“There’s literally two people left who don’t want to stand up,” West added.

The crowd began to boo the disabled people, noted Mediate.com.

After one disabled fan raised her prosthetic limb in the air, West told her, “Okay, you fine,” but then went after the fan in the wheelchair.

“This is the longest I’ve had to wait to do a song, it’s unbelievable,” Kanye complained.

He then led the audience in a chant of “Stand up!”

Eventually the rapper sent his bodyguard to check on the disabled fan in the wheelchair.

“Is he in a wheelchair?” stated West. “Now if he is in a wheelchair, then it’s fine.”

As he has many times before, Kanye reportedly played the victim in the incident.

Reporter Travis Meyn tweeted:

Kanye West says story about disable kid is "bull---- blown out of proportion" and he's a "married Christian man with a family." Great rant.

Writer Josh Bristow tweeted that when Kanye performed in Brisbane, Australia, the rapper gave permission for disabled people not to stand:

"Ive been waiting all week for this, anyone who isnt in a wheelchair or handicapped, stand up...if you cant thats okay" @kanyewest #brisbane
