Janet Jackson said on Jan. 6 that she does not have cancer amid rumors that she was suffering from throat cancer (video below).
The pop singer tweeted a video that included music and lyrics from her song "The Great Forever," and then added in text:
Remember... believe it when you hear it from my lips. The rumors are untrue. I do not have cancer. I'm recovering. My doctors have approved my concerts as scheduled in Europe, and as I promised, the postponed shows will be rescheduled. Thank you for your prayers and love.
Jackson said in December 2015 that her Unbreakable World Tour would be postponed until the Spring 2016 so that she could have surgery, reports Billboard.
Her new "Unbreakable" album made it to the top of the Billboard album chart, making Jackson the third musical act to have number one albums in the 2010s, 2000s, 1990s and 1980s.
