As you know, we here at HM love to discuss Gwyneth Paltrow's lifestyle website, GOOP. Partly because she seems to be even more of a super-wealthy child of Mother Earth every time we visit the site, and partly because when we first started going we were absolutely sure it was all going to end in tears and yet here it is, still giving advice to the overprivileged and undereducated, years later.
Perhaps it's us keeping it going. 'Another 20k hits from those spotty wankers at Holy Moly' she must say to Chris Martin as he once again gets caught red handed attempting to sneak bacon fat into her tofu burger mix.
Anyway, this week's piece of advice (well, strictly last week's) isn't actually for us, but comes more as a warning to all the children out there who think the occasional gamily visit to McDonalds isn't enough. Just imagine if you were Gwyneth Paltrow's children (aside from the cash and nepotism). You'd have things like 'Coke of the week' to look forward to instead.
"The bottom line is, our bodies have a hard time with anything processed. That doesn't only mean kool-aid and goldfish. White flour, white rice and soy milk are all heavily processed as well. I know from my own research that the more whole the diet, the better I feel. I wanted to do this book so I would have a mini encyclopedia of truly delicious recipes that were healthful and nourishing, and above all easy (I am an insanely busy working mother!)."
