Matcha Ginger Tea can Fight Inflammation

Publish date:

Inflammation is the body’s natural response to infection and is part of the normal healing process. Think of swollen glands or a splinter. However many of us are experiencing low-grade chronic inflammation, due to constant exposure to toxins in our environment, which over time does more harm than good. Inflammation hastens aging and is correlated to diseases such as heart disease, stroke, some cancers, Alzheimer’s disease, rheumatoid arthritis, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, eczema, psoriasis, asthma and diabetes.

One effective and simple way to minimize inflammation is by eating an anti-inflammatory diet. This includes eliminating toxic foods such as white flour, processed foods, excess red meat, sugary sodas and hydrogenated and trans fats, and increasing anti-inflammatory foods such as bright leafy vegetables, fresh fruit, olive oil, ginger and green tea.

Matcha and ginger tea is a delicious blend suitable for everyday. Here’s a simple recipe for an iced-beverage enhanced with a squeeze of lime.
