Fathers Should be Allowed to Stop Women's Abortions, Says Fox News' Dr. Keith Ablow (Video)

On "Fox & Friends" this morning, co-host Brian Kilmeade and Fox News' contributor Dr. Keith Ablow complained about how men are discriminated against by women.

Dr. Ablow recalled how people joked about Lorena Bobbitt severing her husband's penis, but would have been in shock had he "dismembered her," noted RawStory.com (video below).

He also complained how fathers had no rights permitting them to legally stop a woman from having an abortion.

“Do we not know that we think of it as crazy that a man would have the right, as I have suggested, in say, the second trimester of pregnancy to block woman’s pregnancy [from being terminated] because that’s my baby too?” said Dr. Ablow.

“We think that’s crazy," added Dr. Ablow. "Yet, if a woman donated an ovum, and a man insisted, I’m going to use that with a surrogate, and have my own child, we’d say, ‘Wait a second, that’s her genetic material.’ There’s a huge double standard. Of course there is.”

This is not the first time Dr. Ablow has said that men should be able to legally stop a woman from aborting their child.

In 2011, Dr. Ablow wrote on FoxNews.com:

I believe that in those cases in which a man can make a credible claim that he is the father of a developing child in utero, in which he could be a proper custodian of that child, and in which he is willing to take full custody of that child upon its delivery, that the pregnant woman involved should not have the option to abort and should be civilly liable, and possibly criminally liable, for psychological suffering and wrongful death should she proceed to do so.
