Donna Summer Dies of Cancer at Age 63

After a battle with cancer, Donna Summer, the disco queen of the 1970s, has died at the age of 63 at her home in Florida. reports that Summer tried to keep her illness a secret, but appeared to be recovering. The 5-time Grammy winner was reportedly working on a new CD a few weeks ago.

Summer was an enormous star in the 1970s with hits such as 'Love to Love You Baby,' 'Last Dance,' 'Hot Stuff' and 'Bad Girls.'

After drug addiction and an emotional breakdown in 1979, Summer became a born-again Christian.

She had a comeback in the 1980s with hits such as 'She Works Hard for the Money' and "There Goes My Baby.'

Summer is survived by her longtime producer/husband Bruce Sudano and their two children.
