Bret Michaels Donates Music and Relaxation Room to St. Joseph's Barrow Neurological Institute

Bret Michaelsowes the St. Joseph's Barrow Neurological Institute and its staff, a world of gratitude for saving his life after he suffered a subarachnoid hemorrhage in April of 2010. Then in 2011 he was back at the hospital to have the hole in his heart closed up. To show his appreciation the rock star opened a music and relaxation room yesterday in Phoenix that was a year in the making:

"This is an incredible day for me," says Michaels. "I'm thrilled to be able to give something back to the hospital that helped to save my life, and to the Barrow patients and their families. As someone who has spent his fair share of time in hospitals over the past few years, I know how necessary it is for both patients and their loved ones to have a fun, welcoming place to recharge - and I designed this music and hospitality room to be that place."

He has come such a long way and not only is it great to see him healthy and back on his feet, but giving back to the people that saved his life is a beautiful thing.

Head on over to his Facebook page where he has lots more photos from the great day.
