Back to the Future II told us it was coming, and now it's here: the instant pizza.
Well, maybe not "instant" -- but it's not microwaved (awful) and 90 seconds ain't too shabby.
Customers can watch their pizza go from dough ball to toppings to melted cheesey goodness in about one minute and 30 seconds thanks to this new-fangled vending machine, which was created by a Middle Eastern immigrant who arrived penniless in the United States during the early 1990s.
The New York Post says that Puzant Khatchadourian became a successful jeweller who started working on the machines 20 years ago after his son complained about lengthy delivery times in N.Y.
The machines, unfortunately, are still in the prototype stage -- but getting close to market.
