Will Ferrell Receives Mark Twain Award, Breaks It

Will Ferrell was awarded the prestigious Mark Twain Award, following in the footsteps of Richard Pryor, Steve Martin, and Bill Cosby.

Ferrell received his award in Washington D.C. over the weekend in a star-studded ceremony, which included fellow funnymen Jack Black, Conan O’Brien, and Ben Stiller.

Jack Black said of Ferrell, “He’s crazy funny. He makes you laugh so hard you cry and pee simultaneously”.

Ferrell accepted the bronze bust of Mark Twain, commenting, “It’s about time” as he dropped the award that shattered into pieces.  Of course, it was a fake.

“If my children try to touch this, I will beat them,” he joked while scrambling to put it back together.

Will Ferrell took a moment to thank his wife, Viveca Paulin, who he jokingly berated during his acceptance speech.

“I do have to say sometimes, you get a little lippy,” he said. “You’ve got a big mouth and you love to run it.”

Here’s a video showing why Will Ferrell is the best.
