Will And Jada Pinkett Smith Reportedly Under Investigation By Social Workers Over Willow's Viral Photo

Will Smith and his wife Jada Pinkett Smith are reportedly under investigation by the Los Angeles Department of Children & Family Services over the photo of their 13-year-old daughter Willow Smith that went viral last month.

In the photo, Willow is laying in bed with shirtless 20-year-old actor Moises Arias. The Smith parents defended the photo as it became widely circulated, saying there is nothing sexual about it. Nevertheless, Los Angeles social workers want to investigate the situation themselves.

“The investigation was formally opened last week and is being taken very seriously by the department,” a source told Radar. “Will and Jada Pinkett Smith have been extremely cooperative with officials. Of course, they aren’t happy that their parenting skills are under scrutiny, but they understand.”

The same source said social workers will be speaking with Willow and Arias.

“Social workers will also be talking separately with Willow, and they also want to talk to the young man in the picture with her as well,” the source said. “This won’t just be one or two visits with the family, and it will likely be an open investigation for at least a month, out of an abundance of caution.”

On May 7, an understandably-annoyed Pinkett Smith told paparazzi at LAX that there was nothing wrong with the picture.

“Here’s the deal,” she said. “There was nothing sexual about that picture or that situation. You guys are projecting your trash onto it. You’re acting like covert pedophiles and that’s not cool.”
