If you’re a regular viewer of Comedy Central’s Adult Swim programming, then you’re familiar with Tim Heidecker and Eric Wareheim. Their low budget, low-brow sketch comedy show, Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job! ran for 53 episodes between 2007-2010.
Much like the basic premise of Tim and Eric’s Billion Dollar Movie, someone gave them these two the money to make a feature film in which two guys get a billion dollars to make a movie, only to watch their dream run off course. In order to make the money back, they then attempt to revitalize a failing shopping mall. The word out of Sundance is that this movie is hilarious.
An all new feature film from the twisted minds of cult comedy heroes Tim Heidecker and Eric Wareheim. Tim and Eric are given a billion dollars to make a movie, but squander every dime… and the sinister Schlaaang corporation (personified by Robert Loggia) is pissed. Their lives at stake, the guys skip town in search of a way to pay the money back. When they happen upon a chance to rehabilitate a bankrupt mall full of vagrants, bizarre stores and a man-eating wolf that stalks the food court, they see dollar signs–a billion of them. Featuring cameos from Awesome Show regulars and some of the biggest names in comedy today!
The cameos are from people who made an appearance in the television show, like Jeff Goldblum and John C. Reilly, as well as the likes of Will Ferrell, Will Forte, Zack Galifianakis and Mark Cuban.
