Rapper Machine Gun Kelly was arrested for allegedly organizing a flash mob of his fans at the South Park Mall in Strongsville, Ohio (video below).
Kelly reportedly tweeted on Saturday: "Today we flash mob NO MATTER WHAT! 5pm at South Park mall in the food court, wear disguises, don’t move to you hear 'Cleveland' play then RAGE!"
Strongsville Police said mall management asked Kelly, whose real name in Colson Baker, not to stand on a table during the chaos, but he did anyways. Police took Kelly, and several members of his group, away in handcuffs. After the rapper was taken to jail, hundreds of teens and young people ran though the mall stores screaming.
They were taken to the Strongsville Police Department, but police said they were not booked into jail, instead they were cited for disorderly conduct and released.
The rapper had agreed through his manager to do an interview with Fox News on Sunday, but his canceled the interview, saying that Kelly would not be doing any interviews at this time, and that Kelly was speaking with his legal team and was glad that no one was hurt.
Kelly later released a statement via Twitter: "If having fun with my fans and bringin the rage back to my hometown means I have to be arrested...then keep pullin the cuffs out."
