Video: Movie Trailer for 'Into the White' Starring Rupert Grint

New Year, new movie:  Into the White is a tale of survival against all odds made all the more gripping because it’s based on a true story. I hadn’t heard of this until today, but if the rest of the film is as fraught with tension as the trailer, I’d say this bears keeping an eye on.

Rupert Grint shows no signs of Ron Weasley as an RAF pilot shot down during WWII with two of his comrades-in-arms over the Norwegian tundra, only to discover that there is no escape from the war. Who do they chance upon but three German’s who have met a similar fate.

English and German pilots shoot each other down, and later find themselves at the same cabin. In order to survive the tough winter in the Norwegian wilderness they have to stand together. It’s the start of a long and unlikely friendship.

Into the White also stars David Kross (The Reader), Lachlan Nieboer (soon to be seen in The Necessary Death of Charlie Countryman), Stig Henrik Hoff (The Thing) and Florian Lukas. The film, a Norwegian production directed  by Petter Naess, had a limited  UK release last fall but is only now getting set to hit the US on April 12.

Take a look at this. What do you think? Will you follow Rupert Grint Into the White? Let us know in the comments.
